Beautiful writing inside this book about letter writing. The book — “How To Write Letters” by J. Willis Westlake, A.M. — was printed in Philadelphia in the late 1800s. I love the penmanship. I can’t make out one word in the very faded pencil inscription, but it appears to say, “Call not him a fool who _____ by doing the best he can.” I searched it online but was unable to find any reference to this quote!

An antique Zeiss Ikon Baby-Box camera given to me by a friend whose grandfather was a photographer. The camera was likely made some time in the 1930s.

This is an antique diary from the year 1900. It is more of a business diary than a personal one, as it contains work hours, supplies and prices.

There is no question that there is an unseen world. The problem is, how far is it from midtown and how late is it open?
